With everything on Twitter I've decided to dust off this account and hoo boy it's very dusty! Cobwebs too. Almost 10 years since I last checked in here. Wow.

I was still heavily into Yamapi back then, lol. Definitely not anymore, for reasons that don't need exploring at this or any other juncture.

Time to redecorate the place. Find some icons for my current hyperfixation (Word of Honor and LangLangDing) and see who else is still out here.

Who knows? I might even post the massive pile of LLD fic I've written over the last 8 months.

It starts with one stray cat, then a second one and before you know it you're that crazy cat lady with 100+ cats. :D

So, here she is, the little girl who decided that she wants to live with me. Safe in my bathroom, where she will stay until she and Nakatsu have become accustomed to each other. I plan to follow the instructions on how to introduce them to the letter. I don't want them to tolerate each other, with one of them on one side of the house and one on the other. I want them to be friends; I want them to keep each other company while I'm at work. That's why I'm going to take this as slowly as they need.

Thank you so much, [personal profile] sparowe, for the advice! It was your encouragement that made me go for it! <3

This is the second evening in a row that a tiny, starved female cat has shown up at my backdoor. I caught her last night pulling scraps out of my garbage bin. Of course I couldn't let that pass, so fed her a tub of Nakatsu's food and it went down in a matter of seconds. And she still went looking through my garbage. I can't fathom how starved she must have been. I gave her some water too and it was clear that she was dying of thirst.

So, yeah, now she's sitting on my window sill, looking in with her sad little eyes, begging to be let inside. It's not that I don't want to take care of her, but I don't know how Nakatsu would react to her. Also, I'm terrified of bringing fleas inside the house. Honestly, terrified.

But man, she's so sweet and affectionate. She's obviously used to people. She keeps rubbing up against me and she purrs the moment you rub her little head. She looks less than a year old, but maybe I'm used to my fat, big male cat that the difference in size is throwing me off. It's breaking my heart to hear her cry outside my door.

What happened to you, little girl? Did you have a home? Do you have a home?

I don't know what to do! Advice, anyone?

ETA: I'll contact a local shelter tomorrow, if not to let them take her, to get some advice on how I can help. Maybe acquaint her with Nakatsu (who appears to be scared of her, the big, fat, fearless lion).
ETA2: Searched the lost animal forums, can't find any cat that matches her.

Bought some really cheap cotton that turns out to be impossible to work with. Keeps fraying all over the place, screwing up my stitches. So I decided to use it to try a thingie from the Japanese crochet book I found in Paris. Not completely displeased with the result. But gah, cursed at the yarn so many times.
